Cynthia Persaud: Revision/ Online Persona

Macro shot with the edges of a large encyclopedia book. The pieces of paper are a bit curved and somewhat spread throughout the whole image. They have a light sepia color and the endings are rough.

After revisiting my blog, I reread all my blogs from the beginning of the semester. At first I was not a big fan of the blogs because I ‘ve never did blogging on a different website other than the CUNYportal blackboard. I’ve earned a lot from writing blogs and will continue to use what I’ve learned in the future. I’ve learn that blogs are not meant to written in a only scholarly style but blogs are meant for people to communicate in a faster way about a certain topic. What makes blogs interesting is to see the different kind of writing style that each person has. While re-reading the blogs, I found grammatical errors and also not answering the question critically. One blog I feel strongly about is the “What is (Digital) Literature?” I feel strongly about that blog because I was able to write that blog based on my knowledge of digital literature. I often find myself doing well on the blogs that I have more background information on. One blog I felt weak on is the Sounds in DH. Since that blog was about us listening to the site and clicking on different sounds I thought we had to write about how we read the sounds. After the comments from my peers on that blog I now know that it is okay to share my opinion but I need to think more critical when writing blogs. I’ve also learned that if the blogs are not correctly categorized then it is harder for others to view them.

  1. Categories definitely help, and I think it’s useful to realize that your peers are a good asset when it comes to processing course information. Which blogs did you end up revising?
