I agree when he stated , “If you are not making anything, you are not a digital humanist.” Digital Humanities is about making something new, and introducing it to the world. However, sometimes people plague upon people by taking their ideas and creating it as their own. Which is not what digital Humanities is about, if you are going to revamp someones ideas then it is best to give credit where one is due.

I feel what Mark Sample’s article is ignoring is that digital humanities is both about building and sharing ideas. How can we share ideas without building those ideas or giving credit to those who build those ideas. It just doesn’t make any sense.

Finally, as you try to define what you now know about Digital Humanities, list three keywords you think are crucial to define the field. Explain why you find them important, and how they help us understand both the value and the contributions of DH to the larger field of Humanities.

Words I feel that describe Digital Humanities are social networking, literature, history and philosophy. I feel these words define Digital Humanities because they all geared towards defining both the digital and humanities of the words.
