I chose this medium because I felt that I responding to a poem in Tottels Miscellany but putting it in a modern day touch would be a great remix because it would be an original poem from me in which I am expressing my views by putting interjecting myself in a poetry format. I also felt that I would challenge myself by doing something I have never tried before.

My central goal was to expand upon the broken hearted poet who was searching everywhere for her long lost love. I she was trying to think of all ways and things that should spark an interest in her lover’s heart to return to her. However, In the end she got very frustrated because her lover did not return and she started to say to him do you not know that you would not be happy if you are not in love with me. Those are very strong words in which many women would say early on when they broke up with their lover and in time just like everything else dissolves.

My experience creating the commonplace book was a bit complicated at first because I was not totally knowledgeable on how to go about doing so. Although, instructions was provided I still felt that it was not a very easy project. First, I was overwhelmed by the thought of even creating a blog because somewhere in my head I have this image that blogs and website are created by IT technicians or people that are knowledgeable about computers and that does not include me. After, having the one on one meeting with Professor Silvia I felt a bit more confident but right after I only remember to do one item which was how to create the categories. It took me a few days in order to wrap my mind around how to copy and paste the links from YouTube to my commonplace book. I used my iPhone and was able to copy the link and paste it on the blog. At that point I said to myself this is simply easy. I was then able to view the site imagery and select a beautiful picture as my background picture to make my commonplace book reflect me. Creating the blog is not a difficult task however, what make it difficult for me is the fact that I allowed fear of creating site to cause me a bit of delayed.

My original remix was a poem that was created by me because the Sonnet that I read in Tottel Miscellany #81 spoke about a jilted lover who want acknowledgement from is lover. Who spoke about being deceived by his/her lover. “ Decyved is he by crafty trayn” and also “Against deceipte and dowblenes”. I thought that my poem Wounded lover spoke about a lover who was in search of her lover. Although, her lover was deceitful she still love him whole heartedly. She saw no flaws in him. Her vision was so vast with all sort of pictures of her lover. After looking outside at Mother Nature and wondering if nothing at all reminds him of her. She can see so many parallels in nature that reminds her of him but she is in constant turmoil because she do not know if he sees what she sees. She make reference to the horses running back and forth and wonders if his heart also gallops for her. I think many of us can relate to such a person because at one point or the other you were in love with someone, who broke your heart and in your mind there is no one out there that is as beautiful as you. Your mind, then to get the best of you because you start to imagine all sort of things a result. This wounded lover want the chance to reunite with her lover just like the Sonnet in Tottel Miscenally.
